Pascal Siakam’s time in the Toronto Raptors came to an end

Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors is being traded to the Indiana Pacers, ending a run of nearly eight years during which he was a two-time All-NBA selection and two-time All-Star.

The Indiana Pacers, teams announced on 18 January.

Pascal Siakam joined the Raptors as the 27th overall pick in 2016. The Cameroonian power forward has averaged 17.4 points per game,3.6 assists, and 6.5 rebounds since, giving his entire eight-year career with the Toronto Raptors.

Darko Rajkovic Raptors head coach told reporters on Wednesday that Pascal is just a pure basketball junkie. He is the first one to show up in the gym, the last one to leave. He was always coachable, always professional since day one. “I can only be thankful and grateful for all of his contributions to our team. But also, I have to acknowledge that he spent nine years with this organization, came here as almost a teenager, and left quite a legacy behind him. I wish him all the best going forward.

Pascal Siakam is playing on an expiring contract. having an extension with the Pacers, he’s planned to become an unrestricted free agent next offseason at the conclusion of a four-year, $137 million deal. He’s also seeking a max extension.

Todd Ramasar agent of Siakam said I’m excited that Pascal is getting a first-class opportunity with the Indiana Pacers, being paired with Tyrese and Myles and coached by great coach Rick Carlisle. His future there looks bright there.
