Jason Kelce to retire after Eagles playoff loss, report suggests

According to Sources Kelce announced to his teammates in the locker room after they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 32-9, in a wildcard playoff game that he intends to retire.

“No guys, not today,” he said while declining interviews with media in the locker room. 

Kelce had a remarkable 13-year career with achievements including the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl win, five All-Pro appearances, and seven Pro Bowl appearances. Recently he made a Super Bowl appearance in 2023 and made History as he played against his brother, Travis Kelce.

Coach Nick Sirianni said that we’re not there at that position yet, ready to talk about that, but he’s special and I love him. He’s one of the most special guys I’ve been around. He’s always got a place here and always wants him to play.”

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts said “he is a legend “I don’t want to do a disservice to him. His journey to where he is now didn’t come easy. I love and appreciate him. He knows how much I’ve learned from him. He’ll forever have a special place in my heart.”

Donna Kelce said “I just am really, really thrilled that both cities feel very attached to both Jason and Travis.

Jason Kelce, 36, spent his entire 13-season career with the Eagles and won Super Bowl LII in February 2018.

Jason Kelce’s credentials extend beyond football. He earned a spot among People magazine’s sexiest men alive in 2023. He co-hosts a podcast and starred in the documentary “Kelce. In Philadelphia, he is a beloved personality who has done everything from releasing holiday hits on two albums to serving as a celebrity bartender. He also performed the national anthem at the 76ers game.
