Brooklyn Nets defeats Los Angeles Lakers 130-112

The Brooklyn Nets secured a 130-112 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday bringing an end to their four-game losing streak. Thomas led the charge with an outstanding 33 points, while Claxton contributed 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Dinwiddie scored 19 points and Mikal Bridges scored 17. Lonnie Walker IV contributed 15 points for Brooklyn, which entered with losses in nine of its past 10 games. The Brooklyn Nets went 19 of 47 from 3-point range while ending a five-game road losing streak. Davis scored 26 points and took 12 rebounds and LeBron James added 24 points and 11 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers remained inconsistent.

Despite victories in their previous games, the Los Angeles Lakers failed to secure a third straight win, highlighting their ongoing inconsistency. D’Angelo Russell scored 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Nets’ strong second-half performance.

The Brooklyn Nets lead in the third quarter, outscoring the Lakers 38-22 and entering the final period with a 100-90 lead. Brooklyn took advantage in the fourth quarter, sealing a comfortable victory and ending their recent struggles.

After the loss, The Los Angeles Lakers fell back under 500 at 21-22, and are clinging to the 10th and final Play-In Tournament spot. At the close of Friday’s action, they are half a game ahead of the 11th-place Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors up on the 12th-place.
