On Thursday, Selena Gomez posted a throwback photo on her Instagram Story featuring her and Henrie sitting on the couch and wrote “We’re back. Henrie wrote on his Instagram page on Thursday “The Russo’s are excited to become a part of your family, once again, but we’ve grown,”
Apart from Selena and Henrie, other cast members include Alkaio Thiele, Janice LeAnn Brown, and Mimi Gianopulos. The original “Wizards” series aired from 2007 to 2012 and followed the Russo siblings, played by Gomez and David Henrie. Henrie will appear as a regular cast member, reprising his role as Justin Russo, while Gomez will guest star as Alex Russo.
According to sources synopsis of the sequel episode, the story will pick up “after a mysterious incident at WizTech, where an adult Justin Russo has left his wizard powers behind, opting for a normal, human life with his wife and two sons.”
Disney also revealed that the pilot for the sequel has already been greenlit. It was written and executive produced by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas.
